The Learn2Serve Louisiana Responsible Vendor Training is designed for employees who sell alcoholic beverages in off-premise retail environments, including convenience stores, grocery stores, package stores, liquor stores, and other businesses where alcohol is sold for consumption away from the licensed premises. This course helps employees understand their responsibilities under Louisiana alcohol laws and the Louisiana Responsible Vendor Program, including how to prevent underage sales, recognize signs of intoxication, review acceptable forms of identification, reduce liability risks, and handle alcohol sales responsibly.
Students will learn practical alcohol-safety procedures that support compliant day-to-day retail operations, including checking IDs, identifying potentially fraudulent identification, refusing prohibited sales, responding to difficult customer situations, and understanding Louisiana-specific regulations. The course includes a final exam, a passing score requirement, and a certificate upon successful completion. The training is valid for four years.
